Chateau Haut-Vigneau Pessac Leognan Blanc 2022 SF Chronicle - Past Pick Seth Morgen Long started makingHaut Vigneau is a smaller Pessac Leognan property created in the late 1980s and managed by Eric Perrin, who also runs the better known Carbonnieux. It's a value tier white in an appellation where dry whites can climb fast in price. The 2022 blanc is barrel aged Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon fresh and zippy on the attack, with a honeyed weight on the mid palate that hints at the oak. A good introduction to white Pessac without the First Growth price tag.
