Domaine Sylvain Pataille Marsannay Rouge La Montagne 2022 SPDESSERT A truly unique Chardonnay fromLa Montagne sits at the top of Marsannay's slope at 315 meters, where the soil is shallow enough that the vines root more or less straight into the hard Comblanchien and Prmeaux limestone beneath which is exactly where the wine's cool, mineral snap comes from. Sylvain Pataille ferments it with 100% whole clusters and ambient yeasts, ages it 18 months, and adds sulfur only at bottling; the farming is certified organic with biodynamic work. Marsannay
